Our History
Cook’s Lumber and Hardware has been a family-owned cornerstone of quality and service since 1923. Founded by Bert Cook in Southern California, our roots trace back to a humble hardware store built on integrity, craftsmanship, and community.
For over a century, our family has passed down not just a business, but a legacy. From Chuck Cook’s early contributions after serving in the U.S. Navy, to the leadership of Bob and Jim Cook, each generation has helped evolve Cook’s into a premier destination for high-end doors, windows, and finish materials.
Today, Cook’s Doors & Windows is in its fourth generation of Cooks, proudly carrying on Bert’s vision. Our team of experienced professionals is here to assist homeowners, designers, and contractors with expert advice and product knowledge—from doors and windows to mouldings, hardware, and more. Whether you’re building new or remodeling, we offer quality solutions to match your vision and your budget.
